PROTECTED GEOGRAPHIC INDICATION PANGEON
Plagios Red is a regional expression of carefully selected grapes of the French Merlot variety subjected to the microclimate of Pangeon. It is vinified in a conventional manner with an extended maceration period. It has undergone malolactic fermentation following which it matured for 16 months in new French oak barrels. This full-bodied, dry red wine has a dense mahogany red colour. Serve cellar cool at 16-18°C or age for up to 10 years easily.Current Vintage

Its nose entices with typical varietal aromas of red fruits, especially black cherry, pleasantly enveloped in scents of cedar wood, nutmeg and vanilla.Palate
Expect a wonderful wine with a fruit-driven core of mellow plummy flavours and a hint of dark chocolate on a pleasantly long finish. The strong tannins are well integrated in its firm structure that gives it great ageing potential.Pairings
Plagios Red teams up very well with a variety of stews and grilled meats with spicy sauces as well as fatty cheeses.
