PROTECTED GEOGRAPHIC INDICATION PANGEON
Plagios White is made from the French Chardonnay variety grown in a very low crop yielding area at the foot of Mount Pangeon. After a brief period of skin contact, the extracted juice is fermented in new oak barrels where it remains for a few months on the lees. The result is a pale straw-yellow wine with green tinges. Plagios, also known as ‘Sideways’, has 8-10 years ageing potential and is best poured at 12°C.Current Vintage

It smells surprisingly floral and mineral followed by intense aromas of ripe yellow stone fruit, citrus zest and cedar.Palate
Plagios White is a fuller-flavoured dry white wine with a broad and creamy palate with sappy acidity to balance. Its long yet bright, fruity taste gives way to a lengthy honeyed finish of vanilla and hazelnut praline.Pairings
This rewarding Chardonnay is a great food companion to fatty fish, creamy pasta dishes and risottos, poultry and mature cheeses.
